Timilen Company'sU-Conduit is a Windows utility program that does all the math in calculating where to mark any length and size of electrical conduit for bending. Conduit bending is generally used by construction electricians in installing electrical distribution circuits. Obviously, conduit bending is not exclusively limited to electricians. Many homeowners and craftsmen/craftswomen do their own conduit bending. Unfortunately, many who install conduit use fabricated corners and conduit pieces to "piece" together their conduit run. In the electrical trade those who practice this approach are considered less than professional.
Professional conduit runs have a minimum of splices and as a consequence...strength. Furthermore, Conduit runs that have minimal splices also offer better isolation from moisture condensation, corrosion, and hence safe electrical properties. Another aspect lies in the fact that the more splices in a run means the harder it is to pull wires through and an increase in the odds of scratching or cutting the wire insulation from sharp edges in the splicing. Besides, folks are impressed when they see a contiguous conduit run that fits perfectly. It's a matter of pride in your workmanship! That's why U-Conduit! was created. It wasn't meant to be a complicated lengthy program to install or use. It was designed to be easy to use and to the point.
U-Conduit is a snap to use! Tell it how long a piece of conduit you have, the conduits size, and the length to the corner you wish to bend around and poof! The measurement distances you need to mark on the conduit for your bender are immediately displayed! We've posted some screen shots to show you how easy it is to use. Scroll down to check them out...
Or, if you'd like to order this program Click Here! , or the link posted at the bottom of this web page.
With a price tag of $8.95 US (That's less than a couple of Coffee Latte's) U-Conduit will pay for itself in no time at all!
The Opening Main Window: (displaying the default values at run time)

1st We enter the distance from our starting point (AB)to the corner we want to bend around. Bear in mind if your installing the conduit inside a wall structure you'll need to add the offset from the wall surface to the amount of offset you want.

2nd We enter our stock conduit length we have and the conduit size we'll be using. Note the default conduit length is the standard length (120") of an unused/uncut conduit. Also note the dropdown list of standard conduit sizes available. We've provided a list of all the commercially available sizes and their dimensions for you.

Last we press Solve! and post our results...

Poof! Its that easy. I personally use this a utility program in my laptop computer so I can have it available on site. Some might think this little program is rather simple and they're right. It's simply accurate, convenient, and super fast. I've also found it handy in calculations and references I can place in my CAD designs.
Also take note that the help button will display a basic explanation of the program and will allow you to write your own notations and references into it for later retrieval and use. In my copy I've erased the basic text and use it just for notes and references. U-Conduit has been a reliable and trusty utility for a few years now and has never let me down. It's well worth having if you bend conduit periodically, or want to. Who knows? Maybe you've never had the nerve to step up to the plate and attempt bending custom conduit eh? Well, you no longer have an excuse not to try it!
Supported Platforms
This program is written for the Windows platform and runs fine on Win95, Win3.1, NT, Win98, Win98se, and Win XP.
It is not compatible with Win2000 or Millennium Windows! ( it's a bug in those operating systems that they never fixed. Sorry but if you have these versions we suggest you upgrade since many non-Windows applications won't run under them!)
